ETS is pleased to offer a learning weekend focused on Outreach, Worship Leadership and Christian Formation, continuing our system of learning that focuses on spiritual formation, theological reflection and practical application of ministry for congregational leaders.

The learning weekend begins on Friday evening with dinner at 6:00pm. Those who are attending for the first time and have signed up for the 1- or 3-year learning programs should plan to attend the New Participant Orientation workshop at 4:30 pm.

Christian Formation

The Christian Formation learning program offers practical application and information for selecting and developing appropriate programs and prepares participants to teach classes in Christian formation settings such as Sunday school, baptism & confirmation classes. At the completion of the 3-year Pastoral Leadership program participants may be recommended to the COM for licensing.

Worship Leader

The Worship Leader learning program offers practical information and application for designing and leading worship services in the congregation or diocese, such as officiating at morning or evening prayer, funeral services or other non-sacramental worship. At the completion of the 1-year learning program, participants may be recommended to the COM for licensing.

Outreach

The Outreach learning program offers practical information and application to respond to community needs and advocate for social justice in the church and community. At the completion of the 1-year learning program, participants may be recommended to the COM for licensing.
